Our dedicated Santé Initiative team was on the ground in Luwero, conducting a Training of Village Health Teams (VHTs) to strengthen community-based eye care services. The training equipped VHTs with practical knowledge and tools to identify vision challenges early, raise awareness, and connect individuals to affordable, high-quality eye care.
By building the capacity of these frontline health workers, we’re extending our reach to ensure that even the most remote communities have access to clear vision and better health. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to empower communities, reduce preventable vision loss, and promote inclusive access to quality eye care across Uganda.
