As the Nation and specifically Buganda Kingdom commemorated the 33rd Coronation of His Majesty, Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, Santé Initiative Uganda participated in a community health outreach organized on the 29th of July. The event was held to donate blood but also to deliver eye health services through screening and availing of affordable eyeglasses to the Taxi Park Community in Kisenyi.
Serving the Kisenyi Community
The outreach brought essential health services closer to a community that keeps Kampala moving the taxi operators, vendors and residents of Kisenyi. Through eye screening and affordable eyewear, we were able to reach people who might otherwise go without care, while also contributing to the blood donation drive that supports hospitals across the region.
We are honoured to have marked this significant occasion by serving our community, and we look forward to deepening these partnerships as we continue working towards accessible, quality eye care for all.

Strengthening Governance Partnerships
Engagements with Omwami Wakabaka and the Lord Mayor of Kampala City were very instrumental in guiding the strategic focus and direction of the two great institutions of governance around Kampala City in regard to community health. The partnerships and collaborations established will greatly enrich the work we do as an organization.
